Rick Cornwall had a way of exaggerating things for effect.

Rick said the limo had 12 doors.  It had 8.

He said the home team lost 16 consecutive games.  They lost 13.

He also claimed Jupiter had 18 moons.  Hubbel says it has 12.

Rick told Ivy Christopher he loved her more than anyone in the world and would marry her.

Ivy didn't believe him, even for a 24 carat diamond.  It was 12 carat.

There goes the bride, right out the church door.

Rick is now telling everyone who will listen that the sun isn't showing up.

Not for him.  Not for anyone.
