The day Jake Klepinger beat his old Sing Sing poker pals for cigarettes and

chewing gum with four jacks, he knew it was his lucky day.

     When Jake did it a second time with the same quartet of Princes, his pals

were dead certain he was cheating and they were out to get him.

     Sure his old pen pals were smoking, but they could chew him out all they

wanted because it was too late.

     That very day, Warden Broderick broke down and finally paroled him.
