It wasn't the Bates Motel from Psycho nor the Holiay Inn from White Christmas.  It was the Buena View since 1955 proprietors the Yorks. Fred had passed on 17 years before but Ellen had kept the light on ever since.

My room's prize amenity:  Philco TV set.

I watched the Dave Garroway Morning Show, Art Linkletter, Huntley & Brinkley and Our Miss Brooks, all in wistful black and white.

That was before hopping back on I-95 for home.
