Harry Miller was not the smartest married man in New York City, nor was he the dumbest. Harry Miller was simply a desperate man among his fellow men.
He was broke, busted, beleaguered about what he was supposed to do. Make no mistake. He had been broke before but this time he saw no out. He also became a philandering cheat.
Too, Harry Miller became an honest Joe. He also became a 4-flushing card shark. To me he was a friendly fellow well set. To you, who knows?
Suffice to say, Harry Miller is a man to watch this year, and very, very, carefully.
